Our Mission
Charlie's Choice aims to help meet humanity's most basic needs by providing funding to non-profit organizations working to solve global hunger, build safe shelter and end the clean water crisis. Our mission is driven by the core belief that every person deserves to have food in their belly, a roof over their head and clean water in their cup.

Your donations enabled Charlie's Choice to locate a water source and construct a well that will bring fresh water to an entire community in Sub-Sahara Africa

With your support, Charlie's Choice brought lifelong fresh water to 15 families in an isolated community in Uganda.

Drop in the Bucket
About the organization
Drop in the Bucket (DROP) is a California-based charity focused on bringing sustainable, long-term solutions to the Sub-Saharan water and sanitation crisis. As part of building sustainable clean water solutions, DROP is working to create a more equitable world by enabling children, particularly girls, to go to school instead of spending hours collecting water.
Our partnership
DROP aims to build wells in schools or villages where a well will benefit between 400-1200 people. Wells usually take between 3-9 months to locate and build.
Next steps
Once DROP selects a suitable site for the well, it spends several weeks working with the community on hygiene and sanitation training and proper well maintenance. DROP also follows up periodically for at least two years. Once the well is operational, DROP will send photos of the completed well and the GPS location. We look forward to sharing images and the location with the Charlie's Choice community later this year.

An update on our work in Nepal
In 2021 Charlie's Choice partnered with Charity Water to fund water projects in Nepal. We recently received an update that Charity Water was able to build three piped system tap stands with our donations. See below for images of each of the water points and a bit of information on the community it serves.

Financial Update
To date, Charlie's Choice has raised over $91k and contributed to several excellent not-for-profit organizations that support our mission. Of the $91k raised, $41k has come from public donations and Charlie's Choice has given $46k to charities.
What is the difference between the $91k raised and the $46k given to charities? A portion of the Prince Family private funding is held aside as principal, earning interest over time and enabling Charlie's Choice to make an ongoing impact. Every dollar YOU donate goes directly toward providing food, water, and shelter to those who need it most.
